About ZANZ
The Zarathushtrian Association of New Zealand Incorporated, commonly known as ZANZ, is the community organisation representing and supporting Zoroastrians across Aotearoa New Zealand. Established in 1996, ZANZ was formed to bring together Zoroastrian individuals and families living in New Zealand, to preserve our religious and cultural heritage, and to provide a strong sense of community for present and future generations.
ZANZ plays an active role in promoting the values, traditions, and teachings of the Zoroastrian faith, while also encouraging meaningful participation in New Zealand’s diverse multicultural society. Through religious observances, cultural events, educational activities, youth and family engagement, seniors’ gatherings, and interfaith involvement, ZANZ helps members remain connected to their identity, heritage, and community.
Our Association welcomes Zoroastrians from all backgrounds, including those who have lived in New Zealand for many years, new arrivals, young families, students, and those seeking to reconnect with their faith and traditions. At the heart of ZANZ is a commitment to community, service, learning, and unity. We strive to create a welcoming environment where members can celebrate their shared heritage, support one another, and contribute positively to the wider New Zealand community.
ZANZ is guided by the timeless Zoroastrian principle of:
Values
These values form the foundation of our faith and inspire the way we serve our community.
